Advanced Inspections

All of our inspections are done by a certified member and at our location in Albuquerque, NM. We understand the importance of detecting flaws, which is why we follow the detailed process that is, stated in the NFPA 1851 Section 6.

How Does the Inspection Work?

We are a proud ISP (Independent Service Provider) certified to conduct advanced inspections. During a moisture barrier advanced inspection, our specialized team uses a hydrostatic pressure tester to detect even the smallest flaw. The hydrostatic pressure tester inspects the moisture barrier by using 1 PSI water pressure, which will display leaks.

Fire W.I.R.E. LLC also fully inspect the outer shell and liners for rips, tears, cuts, holes, charring, burn holes, melting, and discoloration.

How Often Should Gear be Inspected?

You should send bunker gear off for inspection at least every 12 months. Also, if you notice a problem with your gear it should be sent off for an inspection right away. It is crucial that you do not miss inspections or ignore potential problems. The inspection process allows for us to detect unseen or surpassed flaws, which leads to better safety.
